Our Rescue Birds

Each year we rescue birds for a variety of reasons, typically they outlive their owner. Needless to say all of our birds come from different walks of life.

We make and sell toys to fund whatever is needed to ensure their lives are happy and fulfilled and we are also pleased to accept donations from the general public.

Winston

We bought Winston from a bird auction as he had been going from auction to auction without gaining a home. We are currently working with him to enable him to have a new home.

Rocky

Rocky came to us with another cockatiel and 5 budgies as they're owner became homeless. Rocky was also getting bullied by the budgies. Since we have had him his crest has grown back and he is doing well. He loves to whistle.

Dobby & Bobby

Dobby and Bobby came to us with 3 other budgies and 2 cockatiels when they're owner became homeless. They have now been rehomed to a family near where we live and are doing very well.

Sparky

Sparky came to us because his owner could no longer afford to keep him. sadly he had been neglected for quite a while. He has quickly settled in and is quite a character. We have got him harness trained and so he can come out with us all the time. Sparky can talk and is very playful and loving.

Barney

We was asked to take Barney in as his owner was ill and couldn't look after him. We found out shortly after that Barney is partially sighted and so he will remain with us so that he gets the care he needs.

George

We was asked to take George in as his owner had died and the family didn't know much about birds. He is a very timid bird but has settled well and enjoys spending time out of his cage with us.

Cookie

Cookie is our current rescue and was handed in to us as he was constantly biting his owner. Cookie stayed with us for a little while and was then rehomed.

Pepe 1.JPG

Pepe

Pepe was our first rescue bird. he came to us as a temporary home whilst a new home was found for him but he quickly settled with us and we couldn't let him go. Pepe is a one person bird

Harvey

Harvey was rescued from a shed. The owners had moved out and had left him there. Unfortunately Harvey has a feather condition called French Molt and so is not expected to live a long life. However he has been with  us for 6 years and is a very happy bird.

Ronnie

Ronnie was given to us by a breeder who couldn't sell him because he thought he had French Molt. Luckily for Ronnie he didn't have the condition and now lives with other budgies along with his sister Reggie.

Sadly, a lot of birds are destroyed by breeders if they suspect they have French Molt

Bubbles

Bubbles came to us because she was very noisy and her owners couldn't cope. Bubbles is a very loving bird and enjoys watching tv with us in the evening. Bubbles is still quite noisy especially where food is concerned.

Izzy.jpeg

Izzy

Izzy is around one year old and has had her wings clipped by the person who was looking after her. We believe this was so that she could be sold as a hand tamed bird.
She will eventually grow her wings back so that she can fly

Billy

Billy came to us when he was around 1 year old because he kept biting his owner. Billy quickly bonded with our cockatiel George and is now a sweet little bird. He is now harness trained and comes everywhere with us.

Jasmin

Jasmin came to us when she needed a permanent home. She is a Hahns macaw and only likes men. We have had her now a number of years and have harness trained her so that she can come out and about with us.

Vinnie

Vinnie flew into a school and was taken to the nearby vets. A search began for his owner but sadly no one came forward and so we offered him a home.

Sadly Vinnie was rehomed within the family when his lady love died and he became unhappy. He is now settled again and doing really well.
